Al Jazeera journalists who were detained on March 24 2015 by the
Nigerian military have refused to withdraw their lawsuits despite
being released.
The journalists,Ahmed Idris and Ali Mustapha who filed a suit
through their lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), said they would amend the
pending suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja, to seek for
damages.
Falana, who spoke with PUNCH said, "I am in touch with my clients –
the journalists and the management of Al Jazeera – they thanked
Nigerians for their support and they have instructed me to go to court
to ask for damages."

Messrs Ahmed Idris and Ali Mustapha were arrested by the Nigerian
military on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, for "loitering" in an
unauthorised place.
